Till next time
CJ
Hey everyone, I'm just updating things before I go running off to work. I wanted to basically let you know how things are going here. We just got a major group of trolls to work on and I will be covering those. I also wanted to show you the pics I took last night of a long standing project; the Jack Drawn Battle Engine. It is a Khador Gun Carraige in 5th Border Legion colors. The jack pulling it is a Kodiak and it has been magnetized to its base to allow it to be swapped between pulling duties on the Gun carraige and working indepently. I hope you enjoy the pics. Monday you should be seeing some troll goodness from me as I'm working all weekend. so click read more to see some WiP shots of the Jack drawn Gun Carriage. Till next time CJ

Hey everyone. I am about to run out to work but just wanted to give you a quick update on Mulg. Mulg has been sealed to prevent any further wear from handling and will be getting touch ups tonight or tomorrow. Strakhov is nearly finished. I have just to do the face, feet, and small details on the arms where there are some leather straps. After that Mulg's loincloth will get a wash and highlight and highlighting will be done on Strakhov. Click read more to see some pics. - CJ Hey everyone, I know its been a while since we've had an update, but we have been pretty busy and I just wanted to share what has been going on with you. We have finally finished the Blood Angels commission. We have also made progress on some projects and started some others. Hit Read More to see some finished and WiP pics as well. Yes. Goonies!!. In all honesty, this is more of a general update of what is going on in the studio. I don't have pictures of everything and I do apologize. I have pictures of most of it though. so. To start off the thing I don't have the pictures of are the Royal Black Watch who are currently in an olive drab primer coat but have gone no further. They will be a big part of my con games for next year. After that I have several minis awaiting paint on my shelf as well as some new arrivals which I do have some pictures. of. Hit read more to take a look. So, right now we are working on some Blood Angel models. This post is pretty short as it is pretty much a test shot of the Assault Marine squad. The backpacks and Jump Packs are being painted seperately. For some reason it seems my white balance is off and its washing the pics out slightly. I hope y'all enjoy the pics. Hit Read More to see them. Talk to ya later, CJ So, the Jumping Atlas and Yen Lo Wang are finally done. There isn't too much to talk about on them... well on YLW. Pretty Much the model for YLW is a bone stock Centurion model with no modifications. Instead of running the sin and its beams off the middle of the chest I decided to run them off the right side where the gun arm is located for a more stylistic version of YLW. I plan on picking up a Centurion at Historicon this year to actually modify to resemble YLW and paint with a much higher level of detail. The Jumping Atlas is specifically a competition piece and will never see tabletop play because of its nature. It is intended for the Historicon Painting Competition and I am hoping it will win or place well. So, without any further a due click on Read More to see the pics, YLW and the Atlas, as a note YLW needs to be based properly.... Till next time - CJ this is just an update on some Historicon 'Mechs. the Jumping Atlas is mounted to the base, the turbine cones need finished as does the base and I need to do the smoke from the wing and the jets exhaust..... and stuff.... Yen Lo Wang just need based (I am showing WiP pics, finished pics when Atlas is done too). A full blown YLW conversion will likely be sometime this winter.... Enjoy the pics CJ Hey everyone. This is just an update at an ungodly hour to let you know what is going on here at the studio. I also have some pics included for your enjoyment. So far I am preparing minis for 1 event still and also have to finish getting all my terrain and props needed for another. So, read below if you want to know the chaos that is prep work for Historicon 2013. |
